Our Story
As I sat with Harper during our nightly bedtime routine, surrounded by tales of talking animals and fairy princesses, I felt something was missing. While these stories were wonderful, they didn't capture the world I wanted to share with her—my world. I dreamed of teaching her about the things I loved, from the thrill of landing a perfect cast while fishing to the satisfaction of fixing something with my own hands. I wanted her first words to be more than just the usual "cat" or "dog"—I imagined her pointing to my toolbox and saying "wrench" or watching a game with me and cheering "touchdown!"
That dream led to a coffee shop meeting with my friend Callan, then a commercial airline pilot. As I shared my vision for a different kind of children's book—one that celebrated the real lives and passions of fathers—something clicked. By the time our coffee cups were empty, Callan had made the decision to leave the skies and help bring Daddy's Book Club to life.
What We Do
We create beautifully illustrated ABC books that transform dads' jobs, hobbies, and favourite sports into engaging learning experiences for children ages 1-3. From "The ABC's of Construction" to "The ABC's of Fishing," each book opens a door to shared experiences and meaningful connections between fathers and their little ones.

Whether it's a plumber dad reading "P is for Pipe" or a golf enthusiast explaining "B is for Birdie," our books give fathers the tools to share their passions while building essential early literacy skills.
